In short: muddy fun
In full: this was my first trail race. although it had been dry lately and much of the route was very hard and dry, there were still quite a few muddy bogs, streams and ditches to cross. Being a shortie, one of the bogs was hip-deep. Overall, quite challenging but fun.
A couple of marshalls seemed disinterested but most were friendly and encoraging (I was near the back so some of them had been out there a while).
My kids (age 7 and 10) did the mini turbo and got suitably muddy (like they wanted), but were a bit disappointed that only 12 kids entered.

In short: Nice 10k, great 1k for kids
In full: Kids enjoyed the 1k fun run and were chuffed with the medal and T-shirt.
The 10k race was scenic, and mildly hilly. Good value for a chip-timed race but not enough toilets, and they could have raised more for the charities if they had a few more stalls selling refreshments. Would definitely do it again.
