In short: 2nd Year and I'll be back for a 3rd
In full: This race is great, with the addition of chip timing it is even better, the light walk up the hill to the start is great, particularly as it is the route down at the end which can really help those tiring legs to pick up speed for a strong finish.

In short: good race, slightly hilly
In full: This race was really quite well, but it could have been better directions to the race.. Also there could have been either more toilets/better signs to the toilets. This was a good race, the hill at 7k was quite a challenge but it was a really nice race overall.

In short: Great fun, nice route, and you get to dress up
In full: This was a really good fun race. The distance was not too long, and the route was very nice. I think the only two downsides to this were that the route got a little narrow in places (particularly on the 2nd lap) for so many people. Also after the finish there weren't enough attendents handing out water etc. and there werent really any signs to direct you back to the bag storage. Overall, this was fantastic. I will most definately do this again, it's only a shame that I'll have to wait until next year.

In short: Great first 'Big' race, shame about the weather
In full: This was my first 'Big' race (previous max was a 10k) and it was truely Great. The route was varied from the coast, through the dock area and out into the town and back, with some really good support along the way. The start was, given the number of people, surprisingly good and smooth, even though I was near the back of the last wave to go. There was enough water stations, if not enough people manning them at times. All in all, my only negative from this race was the lack of signs at the finish telling you where things were, I managed to wander aimlessly around for about 5 minutes after collecting my goody bag looking for the charity tent area. But by then, nothing could dampen my spirits and I will be back!

In short: Well worth getting up early for
In full: This was my first 10k and I have to say it was really good. The map provided to get there wasn't great, but still made it in plenty of time to start.
The course was mostly flat, the only real slopes were those used to get up and down to/from the two bridges crossed (which were great for their view of the river). My only slight worry is that the path on the south side of the river was mostly dirt and as it had raised quite a bit there were large puddles and lots of mud which was quite slippy in places - but this is not within their conroll so I can' and won't hold it against the organisers.
The only thing which could be slightly negative was that my race time text didnt arrive until about 12 hours after I had finished the race (i.e. after 11 pm) and I was already drifting off to sleep when it woke me.
