In short: Superb mid-week jaunt, a welcome change from the roads.
In full: Great organisation, good value with lovely medal & goodie bag.
Route was a nice testing climb for the first few km on wide woodland trails, then some fun twists and turns through the forest before a lightning quick last few kms on a perfect trail running surface, and pretty much downhill to the finish.
Only fly in the ointment was a few people who clearly cheated by knocking off a few kms and 're-appearing' just before the 9km marker. But you can't blame the organisers for that.

In short: Fantastic; a really great race.
In full: I'd forgotten what a good club organized race was all about until today. This race was superb.
The weather was perfect, (if anyone on here says it was hot try running the FLM in 27degrees). The hills challenged with either gradual climbs or shorter steep climbs - all plenty of fun onthe way back down. I don't remember running much on the flat though.
Marshalls & drinks stations great. Always 3-4 marhsalls at all junctions or to keep on eye on blind bends & oncoming traffic.
Supern good bag at the end, a t-shirt, (in a choice of sizes rather than the lazy ordering of fat non-runner peoples XL), isotonic drink, snack bar, fruit and a gel.
Just don't expect to record a PB! You probably will at your next though with this one in your legs!

In short: Judge the race not the weather.
In full: Great race, superbly organised. Running on the F1 track is a great experience.
Obvioulsy the weather was pretty bad - but you can't blame Bedford for that. On its day this will be a quick half, but not on a overly English spring afternoon. Especially as nearer the front you where ofetn running alone which meant you where even more exposed.

In short: Good race - but should be descibed as constantly mildly undulating. Not flat.
