In short: Definite murder!
In full: The second in the treble series and my watch measured it as 5.5 miles.
I actually found this one slightly easier than the first one at Hanchurch. It's a great race although the fast downhill on pebbled ground takes a bit of getting used to!
Next week is the hardest of the three at Kibblestone so not looking forward to that one!

In short: PB potential but not the best of races
In full: This is my local race and I'm a bit disappointed with how it all turned out. Huge queues for the toilets and the supporters may as well not have been there as they hardly cheered anyone on at all!
The wet and windy weather didn't help but it's a perfect course for a PB. I'll run it again next year but if it wasn't my local then I probably wouldn't bother. Sorry.

In short: A good first HM race
In full: Probably helped by the gorgeous weather on the day but a very nice run. It was a bit disconcerting seeing several people collapsed around the course and especially the guy dying just after the finish line!
I'll definitely do it again next year though. :-)

In short: Hilly but fun
In full: My first ever race. First time I'd run 5 miles, first time I'd run cross country and my first ever encounter with hills!!
It was a dry day but the ground was very soggy in places. One guy actually lost his shoe in the mud!
Beginner friendly though and well worth the day out. I'll definitely sign up for it next time. :-)
