In short: Tougher but better course. Only gripe is that some organised music would have been great.

In short: Smoothly organised but not enough water on a 20 degrees day

In short: Well organised. Undulating course.
In full: Many marshalls were out in force and ensured a very well organised day. It all went very smoothly (unlike my running style). The course is challenging but keeps you on your toes with plenty of twists, turns, ascents and descents.

In short: Luckily, avoided most of the congestion and so had a great race
In full: I've seen the other reviews and agree that if the organisers enforced lining up according to predicted time, that would really help. Luckily I lined up behind the 1.30 and only had to put up with very slow people (why were they ahead of 1.30????) for the first couple of miles. Thereafter, very scenic in the park and the bay, flat and I got a pb. I had a great day out. Very friendly and a fab course. Goody bag was utterly pants though!

In short: A London half that is in pleasant surroundings. Organisation a bit haphazard
In full: The positives: in London, near public transport, very friendly organisers, occasionally great motivitating boosts (named encouragement from marshalls and the bloke at the end was hilariously brilliant at eliciting a sprint finish from everyone).
The negatives: six times around the same course (but if that means I can do a half in London, that's fine), I'd agree it was short (Garmin said 12.95) and please start on time (we got going after 11am). Why not start at 10am on the nose? No reason not to and then it won't take up a huge chunk of the day. All in all, I enjoyed it, strong and friendly atmosphere.

In short: Fabulous course, chaotic organisation at the start
In full: Must be the best half-marathon for anyone London based. Easy to get to on the tube and the course - running past many landmarks in an entirely traffic free, and mostly leafy environment - cannot be beaten. It's like the best bits of the London Marathon. HOWEVER, the twenty minute queues to hand in bags and no effort to segregate runners according to their time predictions made the start chaotic.
