In short: Round and round we go
In full: 2nd time here and really enjoyable day. Faultless organization and excellent Marshall's. easy parking, nibbles, showers, tables for your own drinks and a medal you need a wheelbarrow to bring home. The laps pass quickly and yes there are two lumpy bits on the course so a PB course if you pace well( I didn't again slower by a minute). A relatively small field make this a super friendly race

In short: A very special marathon but very hard
In full: Second time running this one and I loved it. Alongside chester this is the best marathon out there in my opinion. This was my third marathon in a month and I paid fro it in the last six miles. Tough hills at about 7,15,21 and constant sharp up and sharp down. Fantastic organization and stewards. Breathtaking views and the finish is the best anywhere . Loved the Kendal mint cake very friendly race and the fantastic 10 in 10

In short: another superbly organised race from Chris and Andy
In full: my second Chester half (having ran the last two Chester marathons)and despite a lame performance by myself I cannot overstate what great half it was. Superbly organized, more portaloos than any race I have ever done, a great route, superb Marshalls and drink stations. Fantastic crowd support in one the most beautiful places in the country. This was my 62nd half/full races and quite simply Chester is in my top 3, a must do race. The full marathon is equally as good if not better

In short: is that bleedin greenway getting longer?
In full: fourth time running this one a tad warmer than the hurricane we got last year. Great organization and really supportive Marshalls as well as brilliant water stops. One negative Stratford council now charge to spend a penny THANK YOU so much to the kind man who gave myself and my wife 20p as we had left our money in the car a lovely episode of human kindness thank you. Surprisingly warm once we got going but nice breeze on greenway. That second lap on the greenway how long was that? fantastic day and great to see the real Stratford marathon back on the map well done Rotary

In short: Twisty bendy route flattish
In full: Well organized run. Course is ok varied route and is flat but still feels like you running slightly up. lots of crossing of roads and some of the surfaces very hard on calfs. Great support from locals and great marshals with well organized water stations. Nice medal and excellent t shirt. Nice cryotherapy showers at the end.my third marathon of the month so fell short of a PB but well worth it.

In short: another superb chester marathon
In full: second time running this and little has changed. The organisation and course are superb.Friendly encouraging marshalls and lovely crowd support. The start and finish areas have slight changed position on the course, but I preferred that on the run in as it was shorter. This is a must do marathon and is absolutely perfect for beginners. A 7 minute personal best to boot.next stop Abingdon once the blisters and bones have healed

In short: Just keeps getting better
In full: My fourth kennilworth in a row and certainly not my last. The race has improved so much over the years. The addition of timing pens, chip timing, better toilet facilities, more first aiders, great marshalls etc. However, the race has kept its local feel and not grown to big. The course is a real challenge, undulating yet still offers the chance of a personal best through scenic country lanes. Not traffic free, but never seems a problem. Well done kennilworth, thanks to all the Marshall's and to the locals for being tolerant to the influx of parked cars on local roads. Super run this should sell out much quicker than it does. Looking forward to 2013

In short: muddy wet brilliant
In full: my third time at the bbhm and it was super. The last two have been baking hot and this was wet and muddy. The organisation and atmosphere are great. I run thirty plus marathons and halfs ayear and I would never miss this one. I loved the tunnel this year yes it was darker than normal, but it was safe. Lovely medal and great have use of the showers at the NIA.Even the weather was better than expected. Mr and Mrs Ringo will be back in 2013 cheers Stu another great race

In short: Sunny windy showery but nice new course
In full: My first run on the new course (ran the old one in 2009/10). Nice to see all the races go together. The new course was flat/downhill except for hill at mile 2. The course then leveled off just in time for pesky headwinds. I enjoyed the new course. Nice medal. One criticism not enough water stations on a hot day and the first two filled the cups very low. I saw a fair few runners on the floor and thanks must go to the st johns staff and the Marshall's.
