In short: A great race In full: First time running in Jedburgh and we will definitely be back next year. Plenty on water stations on route, maybe some energy drinks next year wouldn't go amiss. There was a great hill around the 11 mile mark which seemed to go on and on, however not too taxing. The pipe band at the start was a nice touch, so thank you pipers. All in all a great event very well organised. Date of review: October 30, 2011

In short: What a farce In full: I think everything has already been said in previous posts. I have to agree with everything that has been said regarding the finish. I was looking forward to seeing my wife at the finish, however i passed her with around half a mile to go as no spectators were allowed at the finish line!! I was then herded into a queue to be handed a very poor medal compared with last years impresive effort without so much as a "well done" from the helper, a warm bottle of water and a goodie bag consisiting of hand cream and a toilet roll amongst other things. By this point my legs had seized up and i still had to shuffle up the road past the baggage trucks ( even though i had no baggage to collect)to get through the worlds smallest gap between a wall and a fence before i could escape. I will be looking further afield for my next marathon to see how its done properly. Sorry Edinburgh, you wont see me next year. Hopefully the organisers will respond to these major mistakes in the near future. Date of review: May 23, 2011

In short: What a fantastic day!!!!! In full: The whole day was very well organised from the moment we arrived at the Four Seasons Resort to catch our bus to the start we were met by friendly fellow runners and marshalls alike. Although it was fairly chilly on the Cairngorm mountain, you soon heated up when the race began. The scenery which helped take your mind off the running was incredible, looking over the mountains and Loch Morlich changed continually due to the weather conditions. The only quibble would be the standard of goody bag at the finish. A shortbread biscuit, bottle of water and a lanyard neck strap given by an non-alcoholic lager company wasn't really up to scratch. Apart from that, a fantastic day was had by Mrs D and myself. Date of review: October 18, 2010
