In short: Well organised, friendly marshalls, good course In full: Very well organised and friendly event. Organiser even on hand at the end to give me my bottle of water. Largely flat course with a couple of short but steep hills at around 24 miles (ouch) - still managed to beat my PB by 52 minutes though (!) coming in at 3:32 I am currently stepping back down to 1/2's again now and have already entered next year's at Chester in May (also got my half PB earlier at Chester this year in 1:29) so I like Chester!! In full: For "Fast and Flat" read "Undulating" but still a very fast course (last 1/4 mile hill was tough though). However, I broke 1:30 for the first time after 5 years of being close (1:29:30) so I rate this as an obvious PB opprtunity. Well organised, good crowds, friendly, nice tech shirt, etc. Doing the full Chester marathon in October so hope for more of the same. Congratulations to all involved. Date of review: May 16, 2012
