In full: What a gem of a race. If your after a PB - this is the one. Everyone was really friendly and a great atmosphere. Will defo be back to race this again. Was a tad windy, but didn't notice it once I got going. Thank you to Purple Patch and the marshals on the day.

In short: Favourite marathon so far...
In full: This was my 6th marathon, and by far my favourite. The event ran like clockwork with a great atmosphere. Conditions were also perfect (got a PB). Have signed up for 2013. As has been previously stated - who needs London.

In short: Super race, well done everyone
In full: This is a trail marathon with fantastic views. Muddy is placed (should have worn the correct shoes). I used this as a training run to practice HR running, weather was perfect and the people was excellent. Very friendly feel with everyone chatting at the start and during the race.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: This race is an absolute must and needs to be on everyone schedule, what a brilliant race. A couple of challenging hills, but totally manageable for new runners. The bandana in the goody bag was a nice touch. Well done to the organizers and marshals, there was no fear of ever getting lost.

In short: Very disappointing - wont be back
In full: For anyone thinking about running this Marathon in the future, don't bother. The farce at the end completely ruined a less than average race. I don't want to repeat what everyone else has said, but I think you get the message. The medal (and photos) was also very poor, on a positive note I did get a large tee-shirt and was lucky to grab a taxi back into the city.

I wont be back, and have advised all my club members who was thinking about running in 2012 not to.

In short: Friendly and well organized
In full: First time doing this distance (20), weather was perfect, and really enjoyed it. The marshaling/ organization was great and everyone was very friendly, frequent water stations (I must master drinking while running), and a super medal at the end. Defiantly recommend and will be back next year. One comment, please send the race pack out earlier, mine only arrived yesterday (1 day after the event).
