In short: Lung busting, thigh aching fun in the mud & hills
In full:
In full: This is one of the highlights of my racing calendar, superb race route, absolutley wonderful views, good flat start section, then the hills & knee deep bogs get you, followed by a fantastic swift downhill finish. Great addition this year of the two well placed water stations. Marshals are all cheerful & hugely supportive.
Great day out, super atmosphere, organisation is smooth, can't wait for next year.
One small gripe would be to have a more secure bag store, thankfully not had an issue yet, but I do spend the race wondering if my stuff will still be there when I get back!.

In short: what a blast!! and great way to spend a sunday morning
In full: This was my first turbo X but certainly not my last, loved every freezing, mud splashing minute of it even the scrambling up near vertical slippery hillsides, supberbly organised and the marshalls where great.

Definitely not one for a PB, it took me 20mins longer than i estimated!

Shame some of the chosen paths were so narrow as overtaking was near impossible in some places which i found slightly frustrating, although did let me catch my breath, & i was suprised at the amount of ipods, which made it doubly difficult to overtake.

will definitely be doing this race again, in fact i can't wait :)

In short: super race, excellent organization, absolutely worth a try
In full: Very clubby race, only 9 of nearly a 100 were unattached runners, never the less it was very friendly & with excellent marshalls giving much needed support.
first mile and a half is uphill on stony paths, followed by small road section, back on to stony paths, then joy of joys two ploughed fields(at least is was dry),a few wet slippery grassy fields, more road and finally to the finish round the small footie pitch.
Thoroughly enjoyed this race and will definitely do again.
Also managed a PB even after being laid up the week before with flu.
the only negative thing i can say would be the cost of entry on the day, £20 a bit steep i feel, when its only £6 in advance.

In short: good organisation, good pb potential except for the last killer hill!
In full: My first time running in this race, excellent atmosphere, and good organisation, although did only rececive my race pack 2 days before.
Super start with waves of racers therefore no dreaded bottlenecks.
Good PB potential on a fast flat course, with the exception of the last killer hill, but then Sheffield is built on 7 hills, so it could be far worse!.
Usual Sheffield gripe as mentioned by others the flipping pot holes!
Will be there next year for an even faster time.

In short: Good fast course, excellent organisation and marshalling
In full: Good atmosphere, although felt a little clubby to start, excellent fast course, super marshalls giving much needed encouragement, slightly disappointed with just the one water station half way round as it was quite warm, thoroughly enjoyed it never the less.

In short: could do with more water stations
In full: Runners are set off by numbers rather than times estimated, if your a high number your at the back, narrow paths means overtaking is risky, too few water stations, overall a good day out though.
