In short: Tough course but excellent views and the climbing is done by 4k. Good facilities at the distillery, nice atmosphere and family friendly (though I am sure the superb weather added to everyone's fun)

In short: Scenic start and easy to get to, nice flat seafront course, a few too many views of Cockenzie Power Station but a great finish past the racecourse furlong poles (and in 2009 there was beer at the end!).
