In short: Boy, that was hard! It was great, though!
In full: Beautiful scenery (good), encouraging marshalls (good), lots of hills (aarghh - who thought a trip round St Cath's ruins was a good idea?), and masses of food and water stations.
Really hard work, but a great day out (did the marathon). Even the last few finishers (includes me!) had a welcoming committee at the finish. Lovely course, put together by someone who knows the area well. Liked the stiles (chance for a rest), and the limited number of mile markers wasn't a problem - it is off-road, after all, and difficult to measure precisely. The last five miles or so went on for ever and ever. This is one for enjoyment (in a funny sort of way), not to use for a PB. See you next year.

In short: Addictive!
In full: Doesn't get any easier! Still wonderful scenery, helpful marshals, nosh everywhere, and the odd hill. What else could you do on a Saturday?

In short: organised (very well) by sadists for masochists!
In full: Well done all round. Great scenery, marshalls, food, route with deliberate bottlenecks to let us plodders not get too far behind the speed merchants who'd trained for it. Might do the whole mara next year if the organisers can guarantee a 'day out' atmosphere...or I do some training......

In short: dangerously addictive!
In full: Masochism is a soft option. Always a challenge, but especial thanks to the marshalls who smiled all the way through - and the cake at Birling Gap was something else. Wonderful every time you do it (when you've finished, anyway).

In short: Addictive and painful!
In full: Super-friendly, very challenging, unmissable, unbelievable. i just wish times were recorded after 6 hours, though. (I still haven't cracked 6 hours after 6 attempts... but there's always next year....)
