In short: Fantastic race in beautiful surroundings In full: This is one of my favorite races ever! Nowhere near as challening as the Shifnal Half Marathon but hilly enough to make you feel you've earned the medal. The organisers are brilliant and the marshalls provide plenty of encouragement even while they must have been freezing their toes off. It's a beautiful course and I would highly recommend to anyone. In short: Really well organised fun day In full: Although the scenery was a little on the boring side, I was expecting that having read the previous reviews. What I wasn't expecting was the fantastic organisation. Loads of parking, easy to find, lots of marshalls. It was fun having everyone on the same course, though finishing the 10k race at the same time as the half marathon winner was a bit gutting! Not the most exciting course but great for beginners. Loved it and will be back again next year. Date of review: November 20, 2011

In short: Very tough, but a fab race In full: This was my first half marathon, and it was hard work! The organisation was fantastic, and the marshalls were lovely. I'm a particularly slow runner and found myself running on my own at the back from about mile 2. However, I really enjoyed it and the support from the marshalls was fab! I'm looking forward to giving it another go next year and hopefully not finishing last! Date of review: July 3, 2011
