In short: Very well organised and you could tell the organisers had really tried to make this a good experience for everyone.
In full: I struggled with the hills as I had trained for Edinburgh (flat) the week before and was then unable to race, which is why I ended up at this race. There is only one main hill which isn't huge but there isn't really any part that is flat so my legs felt trashed by mile 5. Anyway, the laps aren't boring and the atmosphere is friendly. It was mostly club runners with lots of people wearing 100 marathon club tshirts! If you are good with undulations and hills, this is a great one. No crowds, plenty of space to run and all very easy. I would like to see this race do well.

In short: Lovely scenery, well organised, great marshalls.
In full: Probably not a pb course but a lovely way to see some great sights. Most of the marshalls were brilliant. Also nice for a training run/race as lots of it is off road so you aren't pounding yourself. Recommended!

In short: Not flat but a good course.
In full: When i read flat, it means flat. It is probably a x between somewhere between undulating and flat. The organisation was good with the exception of the bag drop, that was pretty poor. Everything else was good, the marshalls were great, the massage tent was good fun and great value. Would do this race again for sure. A good early HM.

In short: A great value half
In full: Well organised, loads of water stops, the hills weren't anywhere near as bad as i thought (less than Reading half). Nice downhill in to town near the end (wish i had known about this). The only bad thing was the massage at the end, i put my name down on the list as i was told and then when i went back for my massage, i was shouted at for queue jumping! The massage people didnt know how they were organising themselves. Anyway, great half, - worth doing.
