In short: A great first half
In full: this was my first half and I thoroughly enjoyed it, considering I live where its flat I was concerned about the 'hillyness' of this, but it was fine, just a few undulations!, crowd support was great, organisation fab, stadium start and finish was awe inspiring although it would have been nice to complete a full lap of the stadium on the track at the finish rather than up around the top of it

will probably do this again although I wish they would ban people with ipods

In short: Please slower runners don't start in the sub 50 group!!!!
In full: Using this as a prelim for my first half next month and hoping to achieve a PB today, after weeks of training I started in the sub 60 group, hoping to achieve around 55mins but not good enough yet for sub 50, within minutes of the start I was passing WALKERS!!!!! and spent the first 2 miles dodging obviously much slower runners. I have no problme with fun runners (I was one once myself) but please be realistic about your expected finish times. Even some of the those who classed themselves as 'elite runners' were much slower than their expected times in almost perfect running conditions

Fortunately I still managed 53 mins and got my pb but didn't drop my chip off as couldn't see anywhere to leave it?

Medal is lovely but I agree, why should we have to pay an additional £5 for a T shirt?

Organisation overall was good, weather fantastic, would like to do this again next year and will be in the sub 50 group next time

In short: great race
In full: weather was atrocious, cold wet and misty but atmosphere was brilliant, great race although people walking at the 1km mark held stronger runners up, not a pb race unless you get near the front with the elites but still a great day out, organisation was perfect, plenty of locals out giving support and entertainment for rest of family
