In short: Top quality race from start to 27.5 miles where I gave up! I will be back to complete it...
In full: The organisation from the race pack through all the emails from the Phil the race director is untouched in quality. This continues throughout the day. The step up from a marathon is quite a big one especially taking the terrain into account, maybe a little on the warm side too this year. Scenery is great and you get plenty of chance to take it all in at the speed the race is run towards the middle/back of the field! Back in 2008 to complete it!

In short: Excellent all round
In full: Easy to find, well marshalled by friendly people, reasonably quiet roads, testing without being overly difficult, good pb potential as there are few 20s around, woould do this next year even if not on a marathon training plan (no not London!)

In short: Ugly course, start far too narrow, pb if you line up in first 3 rows! Expensive. Sorry won't be coming back.
In full: Unfortunately this event was a victim of it's own sucess, too many people having to start in a very narrow road meant that the only way to get past slower runners was to make the first 2k multi-terrain by using grass verges. Not the prettiest course but good for first timers as it was well organised and signposted throughout and nearly traffic free. Rather expensive but if the charity gets the bulk of the money - great. Sorry but I won't be back though it was good to be there for the first one.
