In short: One race fits all - beginners and speedmeisters alike
In full: Extremely slick organisation - got train through, free bus organised from George Square and bus back too - all went like clockwork. Race is women only so you get good placing for perhaps less impressive times. Course nice - through leafy suburbs then plenty parkland too.

In short: still my favourite race ever
In full: I love this race. Did the first one in 2006, missed last year as had just had my wee girl but back this year. Course harder now that it's not just straight down the ski road and the head wind this year was a killer. It was great value for money too.

In short: If I was going to do a marathon ever again - which I am not - then I would do this one!
In full: (Husband of Edinburgh Flump) Very little to gripe about and much to boast about. PB potential depends on the weather but you can't predict the Scottish conditions - hailstones in May, anyone?? Perfect size, enthusiastic support and a great route that has finally moved away from Leith's back streets. Apart from a t-shirt I would be embarrassed to wash my car with, well done to all involved and let's hope the race can settle down to being an established and succesful event!

In short: Huge improvement on last year - thanks for listening!
In full: (Reviewed by husband of (now) heavily pregnant EF.) Improvements have raised this event to equal of Glasgow which is an excellent race. The run along the sea front can seem endless but at least it's flat, hence my PB!

In short: Categorically the best race I have ever run.
In full: Beatuiful scenery, fast course and a fab goody bag including a bar of dairy milk chocolate and walkers shortbread! Not to speak of a decent medal and a t shirt. Fabulous. Can't wait to go back next year. And I took 5 mins 30 off my previous half PB!!

In short: This is how a race should be organised!
In full: Sooo much happier in this year's drizzle than last years scorching weather - the one thing the organisers cannot control. did the 10k this year instead of the half and it was like clockwork as usual. I love this race!

In short: great value and a flat PB potential course
In full: t shirt, medal, caramel wafer, water, mini diet coke and a banana AND it was chipped - all for £12 for the 10K. Bargain. A fast flat course to boot. Scenery not great but when you're motoring along who notices?!

In short: We can't let this marathon die!
In full: This is EF's other half - EF was support crew today!

i don't think think this could have been organised any better - the weather was extreme for Edinburgh and it seemed as though the organisers coped well.

This race has the potential to become a great annual event and it would be a shame to lose it.

PS I was sick and still I say this!!

In short: Good day out. Well organised and very friendly.
In full: good course - PB potential if you get yourself enough space which I did. more than 1 water station which is great on a sunny day like today. Chipped which means you get an accurate time . All in all, really enjoyed it.

In short: Really enjoyed this race
In full: well done to those of you getting PBs - I was way way off. Thought the course was tough with lots of hills, the one around 9k was particularly horrible as I would normally try to rack up the pace at that point and holyrood park went on forever not least cos I couldn't see the end of it for the mist! However, I thoroughly enjoyed the race (which I don't often do!) and am really looking forward to next year.
