In short: Well organised, genuine flat course, definite PB potential, suited to all abilities In full: Organisation smooth all the way! The course is really flat with just 1 gentle incline between mile 1-2 and just 2 or 3 slopes up and over railway bridges. This was only my second half marathon and I took 9 mins off my PB!! The weather was perfect too which made it even better, sunny 7-8 degrees and no winds! Very quiet country lanes 90% of the way so don't expect hoards of supporters all the way round - but great encouragement from those who were out cheering us on! Plenty of water stations and sponges if needed. Also jelly babies on route if you can manage to digest one towards the end! Nice medal and a goody bag with water, Mars bar and crisps. Fresh oranges offered too. Wide range of cakes and drinks if you wanted any more! Hats off to Paddock Wood for a great event - expect many to be back again next year like me! In short: Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Handy bag drop. Well organised event. Good for first timers (like me) and something for the more seasoned runners. Would recommend. Date of review: May 21, 2012
