In short: Muddy
In full: A great race, catering for all abilities. I'll try and coincide my next purchase of trail shoes ahead of next year's event because I was all over the place during the muddy sections...well, flat on my face at least.

In short: Great preparation for Birmingham Half
In full: A really challenging 8 1/2 miles, but lot of fun...until the 1 in 3 climb a mile from the end which eliminated any lingering thoughts of trying to chase down the guy in front.

In short: Muddy...but exhilarating...
In full: Only my 2nd half marathon and very different to the roads around Malvern a couple of weeks ago. Heavy rain had left the testing terrain even tougher with half of the course a mud bath. This made the climbs and descents even more challenging than they would have been, especially for a novice with no trail shoes! That said, I loved the course and atmosphere, and learnt from my previous half attempt to leave a bit in the legs for the last few miles. I even enjoyed the killer last uphill mile!
