In short: Really impressed, and as for the scenery - it's Carterton what do u expect?
In full: I didn't expect much, don't know why I just didn't , but I was pleasantly surprised. A good crowd considering the snowy conditions, friendly runners, well marshalled and a nice medal at the end. Excellently organised, that was the main thing for me, it had the feel of a much bigger event. All in all a cracking race, which will probably become an annual event for me. Next time I plan on smashing my pb as I feel I could have clocked a decent time if it weren't for the itbs in my knees !!!!

In short: Well organised, good value and cake!!!
In full: This was my first time doing this event, and I got a PB ! Great marshalling full of encouragement, nice rural route, well organised, I could go on but it carrys on in this vein so u get the picture. Great bunch of runners and a nice t-shirt that will get used. Also, my wife and kids come with me to races and offen get a bit bored waiting for me, but as u start and finish pretty much in town center, there is something to do for them. Saying that, I think my daughter was happy to stay close to the delicious cakes ! I wouldn't class it as a perfectly flat course, but only slightly undulating in places, so still a fast course.

In short: Testing race in the snow !
In full: I wasn't sure if this race would go ahead a couple of days beforehand , but luckily it did, and gave me a real good test. The snow made you feel as if you had to work twice as hard, but I thought the course was a great balance of uphill, downhill and flats,
Friendly marshalling and great support considering the weather. A nice medal and choccie bar at the end was appreciated . To sum up, a good start to my 2013 race calendar !
