In short: Well organised race - great start to 2013
In full: Tough-ish race but a well organised and well marshalled race makes it worth the trip.

In short: Well organised race run through beautiful scenery - but oh dear ... the heat!!
In full: Fauiltless organisation and this would be a great race but for the heat yesterday. The undulations work against you in the first half of the race but ther's a smooth ride down in the second half and much of the last k or so are downhill-ish. I just found the heat too much for me and struggled - but that was my fault not the race!

In short: Faultless organisation
In full: Well worth the long journey. Excellent organisation that really couldnt be faulted with great and enthusiastic marshals. I had a poor run though - but thats nothing to do with the course or the race. Will do again when I can do it justice!

In short: Very enjoyable, well marshalled and excellent value for money
In full: Travelled up from Sussex for this race. Low key itr may have been but it was an excellent race - a fiver to enter on the day with a well marshalled course, good organisation, fruit and water at the finish ... and a buffet with tea, sandwiches and cakes!! Well done Barking Road Runners

In short: Phew what a scorcher!
In full: Always a pleasure to do this race. Impeccable organsiation, enthusiastic marshals and a glass of cold beer waiting at the finish. OK I lied about the beer, but it was a great race again - but my that heat made it tough. My fastest Folkestone for four years so I must have done something right.

In short: Well worth the effort - but those hills made it one big effort!!
In full: Thoroughly enjoyable if tough-ish race. No really big hills but plenty of long drags to make them tell. The downhill bits are good though.

Great organisation turns this into a very good race indeed.

In short: Great Pre-Christmas event
In full: I'll echo the previous reviewer's comments about calories in the bank - well worth the effort too. Great value for money, excellent organisation and the weather all played their part in ensuring this was well worth the effort. I won a spot prize too for resolutely staying upright when tripping over the road hump at the finish!

In short: Another great Folkestone Half.
In full: Well organised yet again. Great value too with the goody bag very welcome. Lots of marshals make for a very good event. Oh - and I was 15 minutes quicker than two weeks ago - so I was happy too.

In short: Great value race
In full: Thoroughly enjoyable race. Bit of a hill here and there - especially at 8K - but a really nice morning out. Terrific value with a decent t-shirt and a free leg massage to top the day. Plenty of marshals though the water station at 3K could have done with a bit of help - but that shouldn't deflect from a well organised race.

In short: Always enjoyable.
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the event after a couple of years absence. Great set of marshals, well organised and grateful for the energy drink in the goody bag.
