In short: Lovely race, well worth putting in your diary
In full: Small field but a very scenic race in a beautiful, little visited valley. All abilities, not at all elitey. Lovely friendly marshals gave it all a great atmosphere.

In short: Simply the best
In full: It's all been said already but this race is second to none. Many thanks to all involved (the marshals were superb) As young Mr Grace would have said "you've all done very well".

In short: Very, very good for a first time race
In full: OK, a few strange crossovers for front and back runners but otherwise fabulous organisation. Registration, parking, baggage and those poor marshals standing out in the cold rain for hours - all first class. No, it's not too scenic but even in that dreadful weather there was a great atmosphere.

In short: Perfect, little low key event
In full: It was a great shame that the first running of this event was on such a terrible day for weather. I'm sure it stopped a lot of people from turning up but even with only 170 runners there was a great atmosphere. The run has a nice mixture of town and country and enough hills to make it interesting without being particularly challenging. The real heroes of the day? the marshals, well done to them all. This race certainly goes on my regular list.

In short: Very friendly
In full: Icey conditions made things a bit tricky and the route is not too scenic but a great atmosphere. The best t-shirt I've ever seen at an event and first class organisation. Thanks to all marshals and helpers, who must have been freezing but managed to stay cheerful and positive throughout.

In short: Good, fast, flat course
In full: Beautiful morning for running but the marshals must have been freezing, many thanks to them.

In short: Superb, fast, low key race.
In full: My local race so it's easy to get to. The combination of small field and flat country lanes gave me a PB for the second, succesive year. Add to this the great marshaling and very genorous goody bag and you have one of my favourite races.

In short: A perfect day out.
In full: I became very aprehensive about this as the heat was oppressive at the start. It was warm and it was tough but much of the run is in the shade of trees and when we emerged on the moorland there was some cooling breeze.

A really beautiful run (makes you want to come back with a picnic), well organised and with a terrific fete for the rest of the family.

In short: As usual, a great atmosphere
In full: After last year, I had been praying for cooler weather. Standing in Pall Mall with that freezing North wind whistling around I wasn't so sure.

Once on the move the conditions were fine and it was a relief to get out of the clammy confines of the tunnel. This was my third go at this event and managed my best time so very happy.

The finish area was very congested and would be improved by the introduction of some funneling. All handouts could be given while walking through the funnels and this would prevent anyone from claiming more than they were due (I can't believe some people would stoop so low as to deprive slower runners to satisfy their greedy selfishness but apparently it happened).

Huge thanks to Alan and all of his helpers and marshals. It was a great day - see you next year.

In short: Simply one of the best.
In full: I love this event. An absolute masterpiece of organisation. The happiest bunch of marshals you will come across in any event: Thankyou all for standing out in the cold. I'll see you all next year.
