In short: Fabulous race; couldn't be any better :)
In full: This event is faultless - utter madness wrapped up in ribbons! Even running through a sewage works cannot put a dampener on this event. It has it all; massive sand dune for pointless exertion, bit of tarmac for speed merchants (if they have any energy after the dune!), nice moor for fell running and freezing rivers for barmpots - brilliant:))

On top of that, you get a pudding for finishing:))

In short: Simply put; the best race on the calendar - of any distance:)
In full: Organisation was flawless, marshals never got bored and were on the ball every time. Drink / food stations were well stocked with a choice of water, juice and jellybabies. Support even on the exposed moor was fantastic.

If you are up to 26.2 miles with hills, there is no reason why you wouldn't want to do this run.

Fantastic, I'll be back again for sure:)))

In short: Flat - if you want a PB, then this is the course to get it
In full: An event for runners; starts and finishes in the stadium, good course with no sharp turns or narrow paths. The Fens are exposed, so in bad weather could be a hard graft.
Long trip from South Wales, although will be back next year:)

In short: It goes up, and then up some more... not done with that, it keeps on going up!!
In full: What a brilliant event:) Rather than a hilly race, this event is just the buisness end of hilly! No nonsense, just straight up from the go and finishes after 1 mile when the hill reduces to a normal incline!

Marked out every quarter mile, with water and beer waiting at the end:))

In short: Fabulous!
In full: A well organised relay event. The course was flat, so PB potential although had a couple of 'wobbly' parts of the mile course. On the return running on grass gave a different uneaven surface - could cause problems? Near the end of the mile some sharp turns, not really a problem.

This was the first year for this event, so all in all it worked really well:) Perhaps for next year if more use is made of the forum for organisng teams, maybe more runners will be able to make it?

For me, first time running just the mile - so a PB I am well chuffed with:) The team finsihed in great form and everyone enjoyed the event:))

Well done:))

In short: Gets better year on year :)
In full: Well done, superb race :) Despite the rises, this is a PB course - so long as the weather is willing! I liked the new start/finish - much better than previous years. The wider track allowed for a cleaner get away from the start.

Perhaps two points to improve upon: 1) more marshalls on the final water station, perhaps two stations either side for ease? 2) an earlier start - 11am? for the 10k as can be hot this time of year. Alternatively run the main 10k before the fantastic fun runs??

The children and ourselves will be back again next year :)

In short: Fantastic event; gettign better year on year
In full: I've done this event for the last three years, and it keeps getting better:) Lots of attention to detail this year from runners safety to spectators entertainment. Parking on the green worked well I think, and the bouncy castles, refreshements and boot sale all added to the event from the spectators viewpoint.

Extra water stations on the run were a definate bonus - I was particularily gratefull of the run through shower:)

I'll be back again next year to chase that ellusive PB set in my first year!

In short: Perfect; can't fault it :) Organisation was smooth, race was well marshalled, egg was great value and the last runner was accompanied all the way around by race official. Excellent.
In full: This race is extraordinary:) Not only did the race do everything it said on the tin, with the organisation and consideration of the marshaling team, this race goes above the norm.

For me probably the nicest touch was to have the race tailed by a runner as opposed to just a vehicle. Every runner felt included from the first to literally the last runner.

Well done YTRRC; organisation and execution like this make the trip from South Wales to Somerset in Bank Holiday traffic worth while :))

This race is now a permanent fixture on my race calendar.

In short: Flat and wind permitting a definate PB course.
In full: A race worth doing again, well organised and ran to time. Very clear instructions on starting and finishing and well marshalled throughout. A lap of the stadium track to start and finish add an extra special touch.

A tadge on the expensive side for a 5 mile; but then the race supports the British Legion - maybe more publicity regarding the support this race provides to the Legion would help explain the apparent high entry fee.

Great race and aim to return next year.

In short: Fantastic race; well done to the organsiers, marshals and spectators
In full: The race was well organised, plenty of marshals and good control of traffic. Some very short parts of the course were not ideal - but this allowed runners to go through the castle; small price to pay as the poor surface was easily avoided. Two laps was a little disheartening, but the supporters stayed to the end even in terrible rainy weather - fine for runners, must have been miserable to stand around in, Thank you spectators:-))
