In short: Very very tough, but excellent race - a must do race
In full: Amazingly tough, but absolutely brilliant race. A massive thanks must go to Dr Rob for organising such a great race and the marshalls. Probably the best marshalls support i have ever had in a race.
There was a small problem with the route on the first lap of the Picnic, but this can happen to the best of races (e.g Windsor Tri 2008) so in my opinion this does not detract from whatwas otherwise a brilliantly organised race.

In short: Great first running of this race, absolutely loved.
In full: The distance (by common consensus at least) was a bit further than 13.1 miles, but for me that adds a psychological edge to the race.
The small crowd at the beginning meant this had an absolutely brilliant atmosphere. If you were an experienced runner or a returning runner, Im sure everyone would agree, everyone was welcomed by the very friendly atmosphere.
I think a 'normal' July day would hold different challenges than faced today i.e no puddles and plenty of heat, but either way this was a great race.
Well done Andy, you definately pulled this one off!!

In short: Would love to do this one when its dry.
In full: My first year this year, and I have to admit the mud got to me! My thanks must go out to those around me who were supportive after i went *rse over t%t twice within a mile. If it was me I would have wet myself at the fool slidin' around!
On another note, maybe i'm a masochist, but i loved the hills on the road and the generally tough course.
I was very impressed by the organisation, and the ever enthusiastic marshals and spectators!
And of course my thanks must go out to those wonderful ladies who provided the cakes at the end, it was sorely needed!

In short: Enjoyable run that has a very friendly local atmosphere.
In full: The run is a 2 lap course over a slightly undulating course. The second lap is a bit crowded because you catch up with the slower fun runners.
The weather today according to the organisers was the first wet one for years, and i can imagine that a nice sunny day would make things a bit better.
Overall I really enjoyed this,it was my first shorter race after a winter of LSR and was a good way to get back into somethng a bit speedier.
