In short: Tougher than I thought!
In full: I did the 13 mile option from Metheringham. Lovely route but the going got tough when we hit the ploughed fields, and by the time we got to the riverbank it was a case of hanging in and trying to run more than I walked. I did say never again, but a long hot bath later I'm trying to work out how feasible the full course would be...

In short: They aren't kidding when they call it "Tough"
In full: Really enjoyable race, with some tough hills (runnable - assuming you've done some hill training). Well organised and marshalled. Fab tshirt, and the finish is at a pub that lays on a bbq. What more could you want?

Thanks to Wolds Vets for a great race.

In short: Low key, well organised race
In full: Well organised and marshalled. Suicidally steep hill at 4 miles - the course had been reversed this year so you went down it, rather than up - I think I'd have preferred it the other way (some people - never happy!).

In short: Good local race
In full: Thank you to all organisers and marshalls. Little bit worried to hear there were potential parking problems, so we turned up VERY early! All seemed to go smoothly, and even the finish line seemed less chaotic this time.

In full: This is my local race, so feel I should support it. Didn't need to attempt parking this year as got a lift in and dropped off. Fast course although the last 1km on the cobbles feels a bit slippery.

Baggage tent at end seemed organised, but they couldn't find my bag - although clearly labelled it had got moved at some point and it took quite a while to reunite us.

In short: superb
In full: Despite being just down the road this is the first time I've done Sleaford. I really enjoyed this. Miles 3 and 4 were off road, and tougher (my Garmin recorded 30+ secs slower than my road pace) and the last half mile across the playing field seemed to last a very long time!

Bit cold and blustery in places, but marshalls and organisers incredibly friendly and smiley, and definitely one to put in the diary for next year.

:-)

In short: Could be great race, but please, please, please sort out finish area
In full: I really like this race. It's local, friendly and has a huge amount of PB potential. But I've done it three times now, and every time the finish area has really let it down. Come on Woodhall, please sort it out.

In short: Little niggles, but great fun run
In full: Once again this wasn't the advertised distance (only 3k). Very busy, and lots of walkers right at the front meant that those of us who were running had some difficulty getting past. But it is a fun run, and for a good cause, so I'll forgive them.

In short: I loved this!
In full: Fastastic scenery, well organised, children's races and glorious weather. Now if you can just start doing races like this in other parts of the country...
