In full: This was the 4th time I have run this and it has got better each time. A glorious day helped, and the 3 laps are also helpful. Marshalls were pleasant mand many of them. Organisation was excellant and a great course. Well supported en-route and good goody bag/momentos and medal. Great to have drop-out points and the relay as well.

In short: Virtually traffic free which was fantastic and helps runners to enjoy the lovely surroundings. Going into/out of Wales is a nice touch as well.

In full: I had originally got a place in the FLM in 'good for age' and it was to be my 8th time, but was told they had 'lost it' and for that I am thankful as the Stratford Marathon was a far better experience. The scenery was great, the weather was perfect and the support (spectators and marshalls) was also very good.
I enjoyed the course, even the 'green-way' at the end, but the best point was the organisation. Not having to go to an 'EXPO' to get numbers, use tubes, be kept waiting etc was great. The prizes & medals were also well received. The only criticism was the cost of parking. When I received the '6 hour pass' I thought it would be free but even a resuction (for runners) would be welcome as we're running for charitable causes. Have already decided NOT to run FLM next year, I'm doing this one again. I did win it though so I may be biased !!

In short: Great course (3 laps) and runners were generous with their praise, as they were being overtaken !
In full: This race is run on a very scenic 3 laps, mildly undulating. There are 2 water stations (plus high 5) that you pass 3 times (giving 6 overall) Good T-shirt and great prizes. Great for all standards of runners and well represented. As I was fortunate to be at the front, I was amazed at how many runners shouted praise & encouragement as they were being overtaken/lapped. Very friendly. Organisation was much improved from last year and the prizes were very good. The organisers and helpers (Marshalls) were also very encouraging and support was good on what was a bitterly cold day. Great value for money and I'll be back next year.

In short: Good scenery but one pacer didn't turn up and the miles were not measured accurately as the watch wasn't working properly. Good course but the runners world schedule states 22 miles for that week and this is only 17. Should be at least 20.
In full: Free water and it breaks the monotony of many long runs by doing it elsewhere, with different people, and gauging a time.
