In short: A lovely canter through the forest interrupted by mud (a lot) and hill (often). In full: A cracking race. This year's race, by all accounts, was one of the muddiest and coldest. However, if you did manage to look around at the forest, it really was a beautiful scene. The race is well organised and credit to Orion for getting it on in the incredibly cold and snowy conditions. A very tough race but one I'd certainly do again. Date of review: March 24, 2013

In short: An excellent muti terrain race with great support along the way. In full: A superb effort by Benfleet to get the race on and the marshalls for standing around for hours in the snow today. It would have been easy to have called it off but full credit and what an experience. Many thanks again. Date of review: January 20, 2013

In short: An excellent 10 mile race in the Essex countryside In full: This is a must do race for me. It is very local but its also a decent course; perfect to see where you are with training. The weather this year couldn't have been better and the medal at the end was a nice change - not that I disliked the t-shirts previously.
Well done to Grange Farm, all of the marshalls and supporters for another great Stebbing 10. Date of review: November 12, 2012

In short: A lovely low key mixed terrain race In full: This is a nice mix of road and cross country. Given the recent weather it was also muddy in places. There is enough challenge for a regular runner but the event is open enough that this could be a good first race as well. Plenty of marshalls and water stations, plus a finish at the pub on the village green - I'm not sure you could ask for more from a local race! Date of review: June 25, 2012

In short: A challenging multi terrain race in a lovely village setting In full: The race is mostly off road which is great if you enjoy trails and cross country. It's certainly not a PB course but this is a lovely run through unusually hilly Essex countryside. It is challenging in places with a couple of decent climbs and there is a fair amount of mud but maybe not as much as there could have been given the recent rain.
It is well organised and I would certainly do it again. Date of review: May 7, 2012

In short: An excellent race with enough to challenge but still accessible to a first timer In full: A lovely race in a village setting. The parking isn't ideal but does keep the High Street free from traffic which is a necessary for the start and finish not to mention the villagers. The weather was O.K. but the rain really started to fall as the race started so a big thank you to all the marshalls. I will be back again next year !

In short: A great two lap road race starting and finishing on the prom. In full: A really nice race which was well organised and supported. I enjoyed the day out even with the wind ane even managed a PB. No serious hills and a steady decent back to the seafront helps you for the final few miles. A few extra cones/tape along the seafront section might help to keep passers-by more alert and separate from the runners. That or rain next year but I wouldn't wish for that !!
A thoroughly enjoyable race - well done Felixstowe Road Runners. Date of review: October 11, 2010

In short: A great off road 5k in a lovely village setting In full: A really well organised 5k. Probably not a good bet for a PB but a really nice rural route on footpaths and across fields.I would definetly recommend it. Date of review: September 12, 2010

In short: A great 10k on an undulating course. Beware the superb looking cakes in the village hall - worth the 6.2 miles alone ! In full: Certainly one of my favourite races of the year. It's very local for me, well organised and marshalled, and run on quiet country lanes.
It always seem to be hot but I still came within seconds of my PB. Roll on next year. Date of review: July 11, 2010
