In short: hot and hilly
In full: was very hot even early(ish) in the day and the hill as well made this a tougher race than expected and I doubt anyone ran quick. Decent suburban run though with good organisation and support. out or curiosity I dont know why numbers were posted and then chips picked up on the day - but it didnt matter as everything was organised well. WOuld do their races again.

In short: some good points and some not so good points
In full: A nice race with a decent course, a welcoming atmosphere, excellent marshals and some really good support from spectators and runners alike. There are definitely races with more frills out there. To have half filled cups at water stations, no sort of recovery drink at the end (just tap water), minimal advance info and a ten minute wait seizing up in the cold to get a bus back to the start take the shine of it. But a promising race and one that will be interesting to see how it develops - with some small amendments it would be excellent

In short: A tough slog but well worth it
In full: Loved it. Not PB material with constant ups and downs but with cracking scenery and good and friendly organisation. Well worth the trip across the Solent. Just know you will suffer on the hills!

In short: shocking organisation. No Marshalls, no water, poorly organised pre-race, poorly organised start and finish. Boiling hot weather didnt help and was the one thing the organisers couldnt be blamed for.
