In short: Probably the muddiest I've ever been - good fun though!
In full: Despite heavy rain during the week the first mile or so was reasonably firm underfoot
That firmness soon disappeared as the dark clouds gathered, the wind picked up and finally the rain came! Competitors in the main were still going out of their way to miss the 'puddles' clearly unaware of what was to come!
As the race progressed the tougher climbs appeared, the water became deeper, the grass more sodden and the bogs harder to wade through
If you're doing a Turbo X for the first time take plenty of towels to dry yourself off after and a bin liner for your kit!
Super day, well organised and many thanks to all the marshalls who stayed out to make sure the competitors returned to base!

In short: Physically demanding but one of those you think 'I'm going to have another crack at that'
In full: I was sure I was going roll backwards down some of those hills
Thanks to the lady at the top of one of them who had some jelly babies - life saver!
