In short: great race despite the weather
In full: Well organised race, friendly marshals. Flat course, mostly tarmac with a bit of gravel and a very short muddy section. If the weather had been better a PB would be a real possibility.

Really enjoyed this race and would definitely do it again.

In short: Great race, well organised
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Organisation was very smooth - very short queues for car park, number pick-up and toilets. Plenty of marshals on the course.

The course has some small hills in the middle, but I was just over a minute slower than my PB so nothing too bad. Course is open to traffic but I only saw a handful of cars on the way round.

Love the medal too.

In short: cold, wet, muddy, hilly, fun
In full: Tough course - very muddy and one very steep hill which most people (including me) walked up.

Event was very well organised, lots of marshals and plenty of toilets. Goody bag was spot on - bottle of water, banana, mars bar and I used the plastic bag to put my muddy shoes in. I like the dog-tag medal too.

In short: well organised, flat course, lots of fun
In full: I did the 10K last year, so I thought I'd give the 8 mile course a go this year.

Good points - very flat course, well organised, running socks in the goody bag, nice medal, lots of encouragement from the crowd (helped by having an inflatable parrot duck-taped to my shoulder).

Bad points - not enough toilets at the start, the extra 2 miles between leaving and rejoining the 10K route were a bit quiet.

I'll be back next year, either for this or the 10K.

In short: well organised, friendly, and an absolute bargain
In full: Really enjoyed this one - smooth organisation, friendly runners and cake and a t-shirt at the end.

Hills added a bit of challenge without being too painful.

In short: well organised, nice surroundings, good value
In full: Well organised, good marshalling, some nice scenery around the river and good value for money too. Banana and water at the end were just what I needed, nice medal too.

Course is pretty flat with no significant changes in height. It had rained heavily the day before so it was muddy in places with a few puddles to dodge, but would have good PB potential if it's dry.

In short: small, friendly event
In full: This was my first marathon, really enjoyed it (well, the first 20 miles at least).

Course was a little unusual being 26 laps of a 1 mile circuit. The repetitiveness didn't bother me at all and 1 mile laps meant more support, drinks and jelly babies every mile, and mile splits from the chip timing.

Organization was smooth, and there was a good atmosphere from participants and spectators. Also the only event I've been to where there was no queue for the toilets.

Only reason I'm not sure if I'd do this again is because I don't know if I'll ever do another marathon.

In short: slightly hilly, well supported, unique setting
In full: Ran this again and enjoyed it. Course is a bit hilly but I ran it about 2 minutes (5%) slower than my PB, so it's not that tough.

Course was well marshalled and there was good support all the way round. Slightly disappointed with the pin badge memento - last year's medal was much better.

In short: well organised, flat course, some slightly challenging terrain
In full: Course is flat, mostly on roads and pavement with a short section on the beach. Beach section wasn't too bad so don't let that put you off.

Race was well organised and good value for a chip-timed half marathon. Will probably be back next year.
