In short: All good until the last 10k
In full: Generally a well organised race with a good atmosphere. the only depressing bit was the last 10k when you run out to the Power station and then turn back into the wind. the lack of support at this stage makes it really tough. Sections like that would be bearable if they were earlier in the race. But this is nitpicking a little!

In short: Quick, well organised and perfect conditions
In full: This was a really good marathon. Little touches like having your name printed on your bib numbers were great and really encouraged the crowd to cheer you inidividually. I quite like the fact that the crowd isn't dense all the way round the course, but when you went through the villages, they really came out in force to spur you on.
Queues for the portaloos at the start were really long, but it was deceptive and they moved pretty quickly, so no complaints there.
Goody bag was decent enough and the long sleeve t-shirt will be awesome for winter training.
If I had to be really picky, there were only 2 things that frustrated me: 1) the first bit around the racecourse is very narrow and it was frustrating trying to get into a rhythm. 2) The social media tracker results only appeared right at the end, so my family had no idea if I'd made it through half way when I passed them at the finish.
Overall - I really enjoyed this and will come back again.

In short: Flat - could be quick if not run in the midday sun!
In full: 2nd time I've done Edinburgh and the 2nd time that it's been run in scorching temperatures. Obviously not the organisers' fault, but they could start 2 hours earlier and it would have been much better.
The relay runners are incredibly annoying. Having somebody with fresh legs joining the race and cutting you up on a regular basis is not ideal for getting into a rhythm.
The support in the towns and at the finish was excellent, but there were miles of solitude in between.
I'd do it again, but only if they move the start time forward

In short: Tough but rewarding
In full: So the hills that people talk about are tough, but the downhill bits do allow you to make up time. Running conditions were beautiful today and I managed to run a pb. Scenery was nice, stewards did a great job and overall I'd highly recommend it (as long as you've trained for hills!)
