In short: Great organisation, great marshalls, great PB, great price. In full: A ~5mi loop through Fleet followed by a longer lap around the local area. Mostly flat with a few lumps. Organisation and marshalling team great. A well oiled machine.
Only downer was ridiculous water pouches from mile7 onwards. I prefer cups. Date of review: March 22, 2016
In short: Fantastic first duathlon. I was having so much fun I didn't notice the rain had stopped. In full: XC trail/road for the run, then a great road bike in the Chilterns that undulates nicely. Back to the Thames for a reverse of the first run.
I'll see you there next year. Date of review: March 14, 2011
In short: Great race and day out. Bring a bottle! In full: A good fun challenging first 10k. Lots of mud due to recent rain, making the going hard in many places. Undulating course so you can catch up on the descents what you lose on the climbs. My only gripe was organisation of the water points - it was necessary to queue for the water as all the pre-poured cups had been taken. Had this not happened I would have finished sub 1hr.
