I've been thinking of joining Dulwich Runners in London. Would anyone recommend them ? Also, I have a fearful vision that, as they run in the evenings, they will be able to run far further than me and I will not be able to make it back to base. What do I do ? Catch a bus ? Can anyone tell me how they operate and how the slow ones keep up with the fast long distance ones ? Do you all have to run the same distance or what ?
I went to Run and Become in Victoria (specialist running gear shop) and bought some trainers which I was not sure about at the time, only because they felt too comfortable, like slippers. I feared they would not give enough support but I'd tried so many I got all confused and didn't know how my feet felt anymore. They were my first running trainers. They are OK for a while, up to about 40 minutes running but after that I get blisters on the inside of my arches. I have to admit, I am not wearing the special two layer socks. Could this be the only problem ? I am also finding that I have to stop in the middle of my run and pull the laces tighter as I feel a lack of support. Any help ?
