hi all! i'm totally new to running, just started in january, i've built up from nothing to about 6 miles and loving it lots :o) i'm having some trouble with my trainers, they're really comfy to start with but after about an hour running they start to rub a bit. given that i can't afford a new pair (i really can't!), is there anything like blister patches which would stop this? also, why do all the "beginners tips" insist you don't go near hills? - i live at the top of one and you can't go anywhere round here without heading up and down ...!
