Wow, some fantastic results again this year – congratulations!!

The positive attitude of this thread continues to act as an inspiration and the progress made by many is staggering. I paid particular attention to training experiences of LuckyJim, CharlieW and PhilPub and I am still learning so much from reading about other runners’ thoughts. I followed the PnD first edition 18 week (up to 70 miles) religiously this year and it got me a reasonably well executed 3h13 (+2 split), but sadly sub 3 was never on the cards. Enjoy the recovery everyone.

Morning. TR, it's good to hear of a 52 year old pb-ing. Gives this 51 year old hope for a sub 3 yet ... next year! Good luck to everyone with the final preparations. Does anyone else go by heart rate for the first half? I'm at 156 bpm until Tower Bridge

HR, yes at about 5pm ... A gentle jog over from Kilburn followed by 5x600m cos pnd say so. White top, black ron hills (no red shoes). Heaven knows what the pace was!! Stay off my track ... 7x700? ... never heard of it. HR, can you do me a favour and move the noisy teenagers off the track next time please. (6x1k next week should be more of a challenge).
