I ran 11 miles, 10 of which hurt.... I didn't scare any owls, but I did get confused by my own shadow which appeared to be a person running behind the hedge just ahead of me. That was a bit scarey. So - yup - genuinely scared of my own shadow!
Crikey Jjj! Bet that raised the heart rate. I scared an owl last night whilst I ran - I turned my torch off cos the moon was so bright and it was lovely. But I coughed as I ran under a tree and there was much kuffuff and flapping of wings and off flew an owl!
