A message to all Manchester United fans (soon to be re-named Manchester Red and White Sox, home ground @ Milton Keynes):
The European Champions Cup that you won in 1999 is now on permanent display at LFC's ground ... the famous Anfield Stadium. I'm sure you will be able to get a train from Euston to Liverpool Lime Street and then a short taxi ride to the stadium will give you the chance of seeing this trophy again.
(P.S. I hear Nike are reconsidering sponsorship of Man U .. they now consider MU the 4th best team in England ... After Liverpool (Champions League Winners) Chelsea (Premiership) and Arsenal (FA Cup winners) ... let's hope good old Malcolm Glazier can get his 'soccer' team making a few more home runs next season eh?...
Sorry guys .. I must have had a 'senior moment' ...It wasn't Liverpool Half it was Dublin 10K ... complete and grovelling apologies! I'd been looking at pics of Liverpool Half just before posting the original note, so that's my feeble excuse for quoting the wrong venue. Thanks for all your comments, but whatever the circumstances I still think $10 for admin and P&P to be excessive for an 8''x10'' print, I have purchased other stuff over the internet from the US recently,... bigger, heavier and bulkier item and paid only $6 on top of a 30$ item charge, still 20% on top but not 50% as with ASI.
Hi Runners! I'd like your views on this, please comment if you feel like or have had similar experiences. I ordered an 8''x10'' photograph of a friend finishing the Liverpol half Marathon and was shocked to be hit with a 50% postage and handling charge! I thought the $20 cahrge for an 8''x10" to be alittle steep in the first place, but I was buying as a surprise present etc etc, so I accepted the cost. To have to pay $30 strikes me as a complete rip-off by 'Action Sports International', such costs cannot be justified and is simply profiteering from a captive audience. It strikes me that they currently have a bit of a monopoly and are abusing their position. Hopefully this note will lead to others being alittle wary of this organisation. What do you guys think? Cheers Phil
I was looking to find a forum for more 'mature' runners .... I didn't find much discussion of running topics here though! Anybody give me a hint as to where I might find something of a discussion forum on running for the ''older'' (relative term!) runner?
