Gosh, I never heard about the collapses...not good :o(
Himpy, I was in a white top, not orange - I'm sure you passed me though! my fella was all in black and mostly a few feet ahead trying to make me go faster, didn't quite work!
Think I'll be using flatter 10ks with an earlier (hence cooler) start for trying to beat my 52.30 pb.... I'm going for the bluewater 10k in august, hope it's flat! (not quite sure I'll be ready to pull out a PB in less than a month!)
Anyone going for the bluewater one? |

| Woah that was a hot one! I had help from my fella keeping me 'motivated' to come under 55mins despite the weather, I haven't felt that tired after a 10k for a long time!! Great race, great atmosphere, shame about those hills ;o) |

| Thanks for the info guys - I'm looking forward to the race, my first this year (I've been slacking) - hoping an ankle injury doesn't play up, and that it's not too hot! |

The only thing I could find is this: http://www.cerebralpalsycare.co.uk/our_work.php and go to the calendar of events.... not much info there though, except race time of 11am.

Hi, I'm running the New York Marathon on November 6th this year in memory of my Grandad, and to say thank-you to the Macmillan Nurses who gave my family massive support during Grandad's hardest weeks.
I'll be running for Macmillan Cancer Relief and I'm so nervous! I've got my training half marathon this weekend in Windsor though, so I'm half-way there!
Please see www.justgiving.com/forgrandad if only to laugh at my photo from the charity Doctor's and Nurses party I hosted as part of my fundraising! :o) Many thanks and good luck to everyone else on this thread! x |
