just to update got an email off organiser this is what he said,
"Unless we have another heavy downpour during the day tomorrow I have no intentions of calling the race off, the off road section may be a little muddy, but, what the hell, makes it more interesting for you all, hope to see you there"
Cheers

Does anyone with knowledge of the area,or a race official know if the course is affected by all the rain?
Was thinking of entering on night, did not want to travel if race is called off.
Seem to remember about 5km mark course goes off road onto countryside for a spell?
Is this section passable?
Any info gratefully received. |

A quick question for PhilPub what time did you originally put down to be in pen 4? and what time where you suggesting for pen 2?
Just curious as you like me are going for Sub 3 I believe from what I have read on some other threads.
I am a bit of a lurker on many threads, now at home bored waiting to set off down to Marathon tommorow so have time to type of all a sudden! |

wait till after might help you get through last few miles at thought of it .
I always set a pre race target minimum time if i fail time no sex for a week.
Have never missed target time yet.!
Although 7hrs for a 10km is perhaps urging on side of caution!! |
