beautiful out there - sunny hot spots, chill on the tops, the occasional headwind (of course), fallen trees and plenty of mud - 3hrs rapidly became 3.5 (sorry MF7, next time I'll study the map more closely!) But it was worth it
well done Mowser at L***n and surviving Gatliff - I agree with you, the directions were poor - we've been spoilt by LDWA route cards - we mangaed to do an extra 5km which is 5 too many on top of billed 50km and was there a stile in Kent we did not climb? I was the smallest of our group and resorted to using the dog access much to the "boys" amusement by half way! Having said that - had a great time too; scenery and houses to die for.
