about 8 km from the end i just felt like death and so the last stretch was a really hard slog - wanted to quit so badly. still managed it though, and got 9th place, but the memory of how i felt is horrible. must remember to take gels or something next time.
i know what you mean KJ - ive been doing most my winter running on the treadmill and if anything i cant go over 40 mins due to shear boredom!
Am meant to run 12 miles this weekend but am unable to as going away but next weekend up to 12 (if i can find a route!) and then onwards and upwards! reckon im going to stick at 16 like you runnaholic.
as for doing a half the week before - i did a 10mile race the week before a half last year and i thought it helped as it got my race nerves much more calmer.....but everyone is different.
Is it said anywhere about what times the lead people are going to be aiming for? im guessing this race is going to attract some pretty big names.
