5 weeks ago I picked up my 18yo disabled son and in doing so twisted my back. Ran for the next week ending with a sprint finish in a 5k race where the back said enough was enough.
since then I have had pain under ribs in the side and on the rhs of my back.
I have seen 2 physios one of which massaged and said let it settle, do some over arm stretching for a few days and then do a slow 5k. The second said do nothing not even stretch until pain as subsided.
Being a runner I did the first and have tried every few days since and although running is relatively pain free it is very painful the next day.
Has anyone had experience of this and can give me an idea of how they overcame it and how long it took please.
