Trying to get in for the last hour!  Website must be crashed.  This is nearly as bad as trying to check in to Virgin Atlantic at Terminal 3 :-!

My 301 froze at 5 miles and as it's the first time it happened, and I didn't have the instructions with me, I didn't know that pressing 'on' and 'reset' together would have rebooted it. Most aggrieved that it decided to give up at the one event for which I bought it :-(

Must say that it was invaluable for the training, though.

I was pressing the lap counter every mile until it gave up, and it was within 0.01 mile for each of those (yes, after rebooting, it remembered where it was!)

Hello All. Made the race OK but a bit late. Car park seemed like miles away, and some cars were getting stuck just driving in, so was a bit worried that I wouldn't get out again!! Due to lateness I missed the rendezvous in playground and spent a lot of time looking at peeps chests for green spots on numbers (got a few strange looks back, especially from the women...) - didn't see one (green spot), so sorry to miss you all.

Had a decent race though - 2:32 ish by my watch so a bit faster than planned. I thought the course was hard - no flat bits at all (coming from Essex I'm not used to that many undulations) and the wind made it very hard in places. Still, I reckon it was worth about 22 or 23 miles of flat/calm conditions. Legs not too bad, feet sore.

Well organised race, brilliant marshalls, who seemed to be cheerful for everyone, well manned water stations. Gripes were a long walk from the car park, not enough toilets before the start and VERY COLD SHOWERS in the men's changing room. Overall though a positive experience (and it didn't rain).

Tension is almost tangible on this page now... been building for the last couple of weeks, I think. Feeling a bit nervous myself as this is my last 20 miler before the FLM so am hoping for some kind of form guide, and mabe how fast I can hope to go in the actual event. Also hoping body (and mind) hold together over this distance and terrain.

Sorry to be bearer of threatening tidings, but BBC weather at http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties/weather/forecast/rain.shtml#no_url shows 25MPH winds, and rain sometime between 10am and 1pm Sunday, so guess this will affect most of the runners.

I have put a green spot on the top left of my number, so will be looking for similarly spotted numbers in and around the HQ - would be good to meet some of those familiar names from the BB, even though I live a bit off the beaten track and therefore unlikey to meet again in the near future.

Good luck to all.
