Going to do this one. Really feeling good after Reading 1/2. My aim is to do 10km in 60 min or under at some point this year. Some tough training now needed to teach my body to do 10 min miles or better! Ouch. Any tips greatly appreciated at this point.

Still trying to look at photos, but the page just keeps crashing!

Fraggle, how did you do? I managed to get round without walking 2hrs 32!! Hardest thing I've done so far, but enjoyed it til Green Park (like everyone else).

Aches are fading today, and will be throwing away my new ASICS, as my feet started to hurt from 8 miles - Ouch. I got them 4 weeks ago, so thought they'd be OK. My toes are still numb too! Is this normal?

McGoohan

Point taken, but I think anyone who did this race is amazing even if they were in the wrong place at the start!

I didn't have any problems with parking, traffic, transfer to the start, my only gripe like everyone else, was the delay. Like other comments earlier, 10,000 people managed to get there on time or earlier, so why wait for others? I say start on time and tough if you missed it - whatever the reason! I was up at 6am and got there in plenty of time.

The support along the route was great, but it was a shame that the bands along green park were packing away when I passed. I really needed a lift at that point. Thanks to the car with 'Eye of the Tiger' belting out at Matalans. That was a great boost.

I really enjoyed my first 1/2 marathon, and am now looking forward to improving my times in 10k races, which should seem fairly easy now! Well done to all those with PB's.

Amazing Wombat Boy.

This was my first 1/2 marathon, and with all my training, thought I'd be sub 2.30, and thought I could do sub 2.20 at a push, but on the day it just didn't happen for me. So I apologise for the people behind me, who had to overtake me, but hey, isn't that what running is all about - good days and bad? Also, I didn't worry about having to go past others, coz it gave me a bit of a boost. Some people, if its their first time, just don't quite know where to put themselves at the start, and I for one totally underestimated how hard it would be! I did 2hrs 32, and didn't walk once!

Well, I got my car park pass this morning, with little/no info on what time it opens, and closes! Never mind.

After 2 x 8 mile, 2 x 10 mile, and 1 x 12 mile run under my belt since xmas, I feel ready for this. Itching to do some training today, but have been told not to!

Will probably see a lot of you around the 2.30 marker at the start, even though I'm hoping more for 2.20ish! Not putting the pressure on though, just want to enjoy the whole thing and get round. Good luck everyone. See you on Sunday.
