The runner with a gun time of 35.01 has a chip time of 34.55.

Time or Gun Time is the time you finished on the watch that was started when the gun was fired to start the race.

Net Time or Chip Time is the time you actually took from the time you crossed the start line to the time you crossed the finish line.

As far as your PB is concerned I would take the Chip Time.
