It won't matter at all, I find that running just gets rid of the booze quicker.

I am out tonight for a normal Friday night, dozen bottles of becks and a curry. It's been part of my weekend training for months.

Managed the GNR after a 4 am finish on the Sat night and after throwing up 5 miles in to it.

I even take my ciggies in my waist bag and lite up during the run.

Apart from training I hadn't given much thought to the race.

Now I am having doubts about my ability, I did the Dublin 6 years ago in 4.08 and have been running regularly for over 27 years.

But ... I have only been training seriously since January 21st and have only racked up around 300 miles since then !

My target this time around is sub 4.30 but after reading on here how some have been training for 11 months or so I am thinking that maybe it's going to hurt, and then some.

My registration form didn't arrive either, I called the LFM desk and was told to turn up at registration as normal but to take some photo ID and proof of signature also. It's not a drama

When I called they gave me my running number.

Hi all,

This years LFM will be my second marathon, the first being the Dublin Marathon in 99. (I am 46 now)

My tip, I placed a dollop of Drapolene (for nappy rash) in a small sandwich bag and put it in my sock along with a few sheets of loo paper. I didn't notice it all.

You will cry at some stage, I shed some tears at the 18 mile stage but couldn't explain why, they were happy tears though.

Good luck all
