Minnie - 9 hours running, that is impressive. Bullock this year ?
Eric - well ran. As well as your 10th place, Harriers took 2nd, 3rd and 4th overall and 3rd lady . I was satisfied with sub 1.34 for first race this year and the rubbish start to this year's training.
Thought Kwaka organised a great race. Obviously I know MWW and the canal like the back of my hand and the straightforward route meant there was no need for dozens of marshals but even so, what needed to be done was done well. Spacious race HQ, clear signage to the start, plenty of drinks stations and a quality goody bag. Only a startled horse threatened to briefly spoil the day. Near sell out this year and will probably fill up early next year.
I'll be on MWW tomorrow as runners logic dictates that I must reach 200 miles in January even though I realise that February has 3 days less than January, so comparing mileage of months of varying lengths is pointless.????
SARQ - Well run at Inskip. Tricky conditions today as I discovered at 4 Villages...
Race was still on as we turned up this morning, they had gritted the course last night but icy overnight conditions put the race in doubt. Start was put back 45 mins before they announced it was off. A really shame but a few of us ran the course anyway to get a run in. Majority of the course was just about OK but there were some icy patches so I can understand the organisers not wanting to risk it.
