Bad luck GB although good to see the ever helpful spirit in triathletes lives on.
My report is a little long and slightly more self indulgent but holds some good memories of a great day. As its my first blog/race in, erm, bloody ages, I've published it and be damned. To anyone I've failed to mention forgive me - I put it down to my age group - the memory banks are not as sharp as they once were!
well done BigFoz... I saw you on a run and you indicated then that you were having a bit of a tough day out there. Good effort for seeing it through.
Seren, I think some of your comments are a bit harsh. OK I agree about the pink hoodies, but loads of girls got theirs changed at the end I had to change mine too (why I thought I was a large only Jim Bean will know) and discovered that they had blue ones too. I agree that the campsite was expensive and that the AW staff were a bit OTT this year with no parking allowed in the car parks (which are perfect for us motorhomers) but that's not Pacesetters fault. I've done Vit 3 times and for me it consistently performs well. It's a great course, with excellent opportunities for supporters to get out there and rattle pom pons/take pics etc. I will be back for sure.
Good to see you though and sorry it didn't tick all of your boxes. Good luck with the Lakeland 100... I saw that you both got in! Good poota skills there.
