Pulled out this year's race due to achilles problem (volunteered at UPS water station..which was great fun but hard work!). Having seen first woman home with broken ankle feel as if I should have done it after all. She's certainly tougher than me. Next year even if I break my leg!
My understanding for most events is a deferment only guarantees a place the following year, you still have to pay the entrance fee again. Unless an event is likely to sell out (London Marathon or Great North Run)there is little point having a defer policy. Simply enter the following year. If you are thinking of not having to pay again the following year, I don't know of any large event where this would apply. I may be corrected, but think that's the reason.
Can anyone give details of past year's races, ie is it an out and back course or multi laps, where are water stations etc. I'm unable to find any website for the event. Thanks
Noted above the half marathon training groups started just before Christmas does anyone know where the details are? I can't see them on the Run Liverpool site. Also can't see details of half marathon in Runners World events page and not able to locate a forum, does one exist?
