Id like to say a big thank you to all those at the event today. The support I got whilst running round with my bergen on my back was quite humbling. For one of the larger entry provincial events, it still managed to keep a friendly family feel.

One thing that I have found frustrating the last few years is the extra 1000 places kept aside for another draw for those that donate their entry fee in order to tempt us to do just that. This must rake in a fair sum of cash from thousands of people desparate to get in whilst simultaneously making it even harder for them to do so.

Just been on their web-site, not a great deal of info there really. Basically it's a walking club, but the event is open to runners. The aim (as it says on the site) is to walk/run any route of 21,14 or eight miles. It is not clear whether this means that you have a choice of three routes or the routes have to be made up by yourself KIMM style. Explorer 288 is the O/S map quoted, so some nav skills will be required. It all sounds interesting, but more info would be appreciated.
